 Sandra Carpenter-Davis, has been a professional storyteller for 30+ years, telling to all ages and in every venue: from stage concerts, classrooms, parent workshops, seniors' centres, prisons and living rooms as well as frequently appearing in storytelling festivals across Canada. She is a teacher/trainer with the Parent-Child Mother Goose Program and is the collector/editor of the multicultural rhyme book, Bounce Me, Tickle Me, Hug Me.   Sandra is also a founding member of Storytellers for Children, a member of Storytelling Toronto, The Ballad Project and Two for Tales.

World Storytelling Day 2010.

The Durham Folklore Society (www.durhamfolkloresoceity.com) invites you to join us as we present two concerts to celebrate World Storytelling Day World on Wednesday March 17th, 2010 at the Northview Branch Oshawa Public Library, 250 Beatrice St. E. (corner of Beatrice & Ritson Rd.,) Oshawa.

Admission and parking FREE.

Family Concert 2:00-3:30 p.m. (recommended for adults and school age children, accompanied by adults) and Adult Concert 7:00-8:30 p.m. (children over 9 years welcome).

The Inspired Harmony Project is now in session

at Stonegate Community Centre 

  on Thursdays from 4:00 pm till 5:30 pm

and at Dovercourt Boys and Girls Club on 

 Tuesdays from 6:30 pm till 8:30 pm

 Children between the ages of 8 and 13 are  encouraged to make up their own stories after an actor/teacher does exercises with them which release the creative juices.
