First Steps into the Art of Storytelling

This foundation course is designed for newcomers to the art of storytelling and focuses on traditional stories such as folktale, myth, and legend. You will choose a story, learn it, and tell it within a small community of peers who at the same time are learning how to ask for and to give feedback.
Instructor: Ruth Danziger trains teachers in the Parent-Child Mother Program which has storytelling at its core. She is also an expressive arts therapist and teacher who helps her clients find and explore the narrative in their art.

Instructor: Lynda Howes, Co-Resident Teacher at The Storytellers School of Toronto, is part of a team of storytellers who have been developing the School’s curriculum over the years. Lynda performs alone in concert and as a member of the groups, Four in Hand and The Ballad Project.
